This is a huge three-storey house, with six double bedrooms. It is beautifully decorated, with new carpets throughout. All internal doors are self-closing glossed fire doors. This is a perfect house for students!
The tenancy is for 48 weeks - from 25 August 2026 to 27 July 2027 (these dates can be modified slightly if you need to move in earlier). Deposits are £200 per person. The rent depends on room size: £130 per week for each of the two bigger rooms and £120/week for the three medium-sized rooms.
Rent includes broadband, TV licence, water rates and a very generous allowance of £2,500 for your gas and electricity for the whole tenancy period. This will cover your usage unless you are very wasteful. The broadband is BT Full Fibre which was installed in the summer of 2023. It is incredibly fast with speeds of up to 500meg download. Each bedroom has a broadband socket if you have a laptop or PC and this ensures incredibly quick broadband.
The three bigger bedrooms are very spacious with standard-sized double beds, apart from the middle floor which has a king-sized IKEA bed. Two of these bedroms have armchairs purchased in the summer of 2025 that you can see in the pics. The three medium-sized rooms are still generously sized with four-feet-wide double beds in them. All mattresses are incredibly comfortable, with 10cm-thick foam. Each room has all the furniture you'd expect in a student house including wardrobe, drawers, shelving, bedside table, desk, chair, mirror, curtains and a new/newish carpet. All bedroom doors have locks.
A beautiful new kitchen has recently been installed, which includes a dishwasher. There is an adjoining lounge-diner with a table & chairs, two settees and a 43-inch Smart TV which can access iPlayer, YouTube etc. There are two bathrooms, each with shower, sink and toilet. The biiger one has a bath. The boiler and heating system are modern and in good working order. I have an excellent plumber, joiner and electrician on hand, who will very quickly sort out any maintenance issue that may crop up.
There is a decent-sized garden, which great for barbeques and socialising and some previous tenants have left a garden table and chairs.
There is a washing machine and a top-of-the-range A++ energy-efficient tumble dryer.
The house has been licenced by Lancaster City Council and accredited by Lancaster University and is therefore completely modern and safe. Located in a popular student area, Hubert Place is a couple of minutes' walk from the train station and there are regular buses to the university from the next street. There is free parking right outside the house. Nearby shops include a Morrisons Daily, two chippies and Spar.
I have provided student housing in Lancaster since 2001 and have an excellent reputation. The house will be in pristine condition when you move in.
Please note: numbers 14 & 15 Hubert Place are next to each other and would suit a group of 12. Hubert Place is a private road, so each house comes with two parking spaces with no need to purchase permits. There are a few bus stops close to Hubert Place. There are a lot of student houses nearby and therefore plenty of direct buses to the university.
